We are based on the Welsh border, five miles to the east of Hay-on-Wye, directly behind The Rhydspence Inn on the A438.
As you can see, it's a wee bit isolated here so it's always best to check before visiting just in case we're out in the woods shooting grizzlies or something.

Just contact us anytime and we'll get back to you. We do some of our best stuff at 2:00 in the morning so hours are no problem.
However, both Mary and I have been obliged of late to review our response slots and unfortunately, due to the usual combination of too much to do and not enough time to do it in, we may not be able to answer as quickly as we would otherwise like.
But please don't let that put you off; we really love hearing from you out here in the wilds. Thanks.
We aim to make this about as straightforward as it gets. (last reviewed 1.1.24 by GF)

OK we confess, with some embarrassment, the home of GF & GFEnts is not just for cats. There are also two dogs in residence here which we have studiously ignored thus far. So I suppose in the interests of balance we ought to introduce you to them before we leave you to explore the Resoucres and Archives sections that follow. You sure you're ready for this?
Say hello to Angus and Douglas ('Gus 'n Doug') also known as The Gormless Duo or, in the native tongue of Sparrow, The Glaikit Twins (it's Scottish but it means much the same). They are bearded collies. They are also twin brothers so it's difficult to tell them apart, however I can relate with confidence that the one is on the left and the other is on the right so that's sorted. Now tell me, honestly, have ever seen more muttier-looking mutts than this? There has to be some sort of prize for anyone who dares suggest yes.
But don't be fooled , they are in fact extremely intelligent and after just a few days we had trained them to rescue people from snowdrifts, herd cattle and compile crosswords for the Sunday Times. No, hang on, that's another dog we once had. Ah, I remember now; it has taken us until now to get them to sit. Which they do. When they have a mind to, that is. Tough guard dogs, eh? Take a closer look; they are both wearing hair-clips. How macho is that?
Oh well, someone has to love them. I suppose it must be us ...
