There was a surprise in store and a step back in time for those crossing the charming Whitney Bridge near the Herefordshire - Powys border where they were greeted by a WWI Guard of Honour. It was all part of the campaign to raise awareness and monies for the A.L Lewis Memorial Fund, Herefordshire's only local-born VC hero.
