Welcome to the website of Graham Fisher MBE and the cyberspace lodgings of Mary Spence MBE, she of Sparrow Publishing.
Mary jousts headlong into creating world class maps and I am doing what I am supposed to do, whatever that is. Someone will remind me, I'm sure.
In our efforts to make this website a cat-free zone we are pleased to announce there is not a moggy in sight. (Oh yeah? see below - signed A Cat). Instead here, in a lovely image by BGF Secretary Lynn Boleyn MBE, we have the spectacular 2012 Portland Vase Project artefacts now on open display at the all-new Stourbridge Glass Museum in Wordsley, near Stourbridge. And yes, they are glass.
The image, showing the aforementioned Portland Vase display in situ, ties in nicely with the latest addition to our Publications stable Made In Stourbridge; the story of The 2012 Portland Vase Project (click on this underlined text to learn more).
The full and fascinating tale of how the former Stuart Crystal (makers of glassware for the White Star line, owners of RMS Titanic), was transformed by the British Glass Foundation from a derelict glassworks into a world-class museum is explained here.
And it's all next to a canal, which is where Yours Truly comes in as a waterways enthusiast and Trustee of BGF. So now you know.
Stourbridge Glass Museum is open to the public ... https://www.stourbridgeglassmuseum.org.uk
Please use the contact form here to say hello and ask us anything you may wish to know about the most exciting developments in the world of glass for decades.
Do also kindly report any bad links and we'll fettle them for you.
In the meantime ...

Thanks for stopping by. And do beware of the cats on your way through.
Oh, go on then. Here's another cat. Regular readers may recall the arrival some months ago of Dennis, a diminutive, harmless looking gormless little critter with as much gumption as spare flesh. I don't know what it is we have been feeding him since, but take a look at the tabby slob now, resting on a radiator hammock after yet another exhausting session of perfecting his still-life technique. And yes, true to his name, he is 'a Menace'. On the odd occasions he shows signs of activity, that is.
